Liverpool have officially confirmed that Roberto Firmino is fine after he was substituted during the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium yesterday after he suffered an eye injury. The Brazilian was poked in the eye after a challenge with Jan Vertonghen, which ultimately led to concerns that Firmino may not be available for Liverpool’s opening Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night at Anfield, but the club are yet to rule him out. “A hospital examination confirmed an abrasion of the eye, but there will be no lasting damage,” read a club statement. “The issue will be monitored and treated by Liverpool’s medical staff at Melwood before any decision is made on whether Firmino will be able to figure in Tuesday evening’s Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield.========================================================= References: -https://www.anfieldhq.com/no-serious-...
